Nuage arrived at the shelter as a stray weighing just 24 pounds. Today she’s a healthy 40 pounds, and her transformation is nothing short of inspiring. Despite a difficult start to life and being discarded by those who should have cared for her, Nuage has held onto her spirit. She is learning, day by day, what it means to feel safe, to trust, and to be loved. Nuage will thrive with an experienced owner who understands that confidence and trust take time to rebuild. With patience, structure, and a gentle hand, she will continue to blossom. A calm, adult-only home filled with love would make all the difference for this special girl. She’s making wonderful progress on leash training and enjoys her walks. She’s also discovering the joy of affection again—and she definitely loves her treats. At this time, Nuage is not comfortable around other dogs, and she has not yet been tested with cats. Nuage is a resilient, soulful dog who deserves a second chance at a life filled with kindness. For the right person, she will be a deeply rewarding companion. Our dream is to see her in a home where she is understood, supported, and cherished.
