This is a courtesy posting for a friend, she writes: Meet Nellie. The cutest, most affectionate dog ever. She is a little over 1-year-old, weighs about 30 lbs. and came up here from a near-death experience in a Texas kill shelter. S he has been through a lot in her short life. I adopted her but then broke my back in 3 places so I can’t keep her (or any pet for now). This is breaking my heart because she is such a great dog but she needs a new ‘forever home’. Nelly would do best as an only dog although she seems to be okay with dogs outside, or she may need a submissive partner. Nellie needs and would love a fenced in backyard. She is a fast learner and wants to please. I’ve trained her on the wee wee pads but she now needs to go the next step to be fully house trained, which I can’t do in my current condition.
