Bonnie and Claudette came into foster care May 7, 2019. The girls will have their first birthday on July 23rd. THEY WILL BE ADOPTED ONLY AS A PAIR! They were found on the Lower East Side in a crate with some toys and a note giving their birthday. I'm sure they were loved and their human or humans heartbroken at feeling they had no option but to leave them for a good samaritan to find. Claudette is the smaller sister weighing in at about 5 -lbs. with Bonnie at a whopping 6-lbs. They are as clever as they are cute. The girls mastered use of the dog door within several hours of getting to their foster home where they are co-habitating happily with many other dogs and even more cats. IN ANSWER TO YOUR QUESTIONS REGARDING HOUSETRAINING: the girls slept in bed with me through the night and pooped and peed outside as soon as I carried them out. One of them peed on a pee towel in the house and one of them pooped on the bare floor in the house. It is my expert opinion that perfecting their bathroom habits will not be a big deal but accidents will happen until they have a feeding and walking schedule in place.
