Meet Charlie! This 15-month-old red nose male Pittie, weighing about 60 pounds, needs a new home. He was rescued as a pup about a year ago but he’s not getting along well with the other dog in the family. Charlie is good with people and kids, he lets the resident 2-yr-old climb all over him. He may be okay with a female dog; proper introductions are a must. All we can confirm is that he does not like the male dog with which he currently resides; this is not unusual. Charlie is very energetic and would love a nice yard to play in. He likes going for walks on the leash and enjoys car rides. He loves cuddles and attention, and he really loves his treats!! Charlie is fully trained, including crate trained; neutered and up to date on all vaccinations. He understands basic commands like sit, paw and lay down. Charlie’s plight is beyond urgent. Through no fault of his own, he will be euthanized. The group Charlie was adopted from REFUSED to take him back, and he is not getting along at all with the other family dog. There was another fight recently and the family cannot keep him there much longer. The family just brought home a new baby and will put him down if he is not rehomed ASAP. We are simply running out of time. Charlie does GREAT with people and children; he may work out with a female dog if they are acquainted properly. We are a foster-based group; we do not have a facility. We have NO PLACE for him at the moment. Please circulate widely. Help us to find a safe haven for him, even if only temporary, or we very much fear we will lose him. PlEASE CONTACT NYPETICARE@AOL.COM
